Well it has been snowing all day in Dublin especially in the suburbs. It has stopped over the past hour and a half but I am sure it will snow very heavily again this evening. Heavy snow and drifting in the Dublin mountains:D:D:D:D:D:D

Its sleeting in Limerick. It also sounds like a hurricane outside.

Moderate snowfall here, just started to snow in the last 20 minutes, was sleet before that, temperatures falling fast.

Weather has picked up intensity here in the last hour strong winds gusting close to 60km/h at times and heavy rain. No snow but i'm not expecting any just hoping for some strong winds and driving rain.

You should be seeing strongest winds around midnight - 2am.

If you look closely at the met radar sequence:

    http://www.met.ie/latest/rainfall_radar.asp?ani=y

the main band from some reason does not get passed the east Galway/Mayo border, in fact, is dosent' change shape or position at all, yet precipitation starts to appear again once it passes central Galway southwards. I am surprised at this, as usually the area is covered quite well by the radar.
