We've a tie in votes this week for Black Clouds & Silver Linings by Dream Theater and Slow, Deep, And Hard by Type O Negative so I'm going to change my vote to the Dream Theater album. The discussion thread will be up shortly.

I'm hoping there will be some actual discussion of the album this time unlike last week!

Alcest - Écailles De Lune

This album just came out last month, and it really is some phenomenal stuff. Brilliant post-rock with a bit of a black metal aesthetic, and swapping between the two has never sounded cleaner. Their last album Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde was a great post-rock/shoegaze album and I was a bit apprehensive when I heard they were going back to their roots a bit with the black metal but this album surprised me, it's even better than Souvenirs.

One of, if not the best release of the year.

Also can I ask you all to please be clear what album you're voting for. Please don't just quote someone else's "I also vote for this" post as it's quite likely I'll mess up the vote counting if I have to think too hard about who voted for what and you don't want that do you?
