The next big Full Contact Kickboxing promotion for the Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Club will take place in Leisureland, Salthill on the shores of the beautiful Galway Bay on Saturday, May 15th.

The show will be sanctioned by the IKF (International Kickboxing Federation) and there will be 2 IKF European Directors at ringside.
As with all IKF sanctioned shows in Ireland - fighters must be medically certified and all fights will have neutral Judges & Referees and we expect to have in excess of one thousand fight fans which should make for an incredible athmosphere.

The fight card is also pretty amazing as there will be no less than seven Title fights (possibly eight if we can match the extremely talented Eddie Barnaville from Thurles) Any takers?.
The Co Main Events will feature two of Irelands most experienced and talented Kickboxers with current IKF European Super Middleweight Champion Cathal Manning making a mandatory first defence of his title against the IKF 5 Nations Champion Rob Burbridge from the UK and IKF World Ranked No. 2 Nicola Collins will challenge current IKF European Champion Carla Jessup also from the UK for the vacant IKF World Bantamweight crown.
Galways Catherine Cullinan will take on Dublins Lindsey Doyle for the IKF All Ireland Lightweight Title, Galways Charlie Ward will face Dublins Eric Nolan for the IKF Jnr All Ireland Super Lightweight Title, Eric Daly from Gort, Co. Galway will defend his IKF 5 Nations Title against Dee Mc Guinness from the famous PT's Gym in Derry, Alex Novac from Galway will take on Chris Coyle from Donegal for the IKF All Ireland Welterweight Title (with the winner making a mandatory defence to Kilkennyman John O' Shea from the marble city in October) and recently crowned IKF 5 Nations Champion Gary Manogue from Galway will take on Derryman Gareth Porter in an attempt to add the IKF All Ireland Super Welterweight belt to his collection.

On top of all this we hope to match tough Dubliner Aidan Brooks in a full rules K1 bout over 3 x 3 minute rounds so this is definitely a show not to be missed by any self respecting fight fan.
