First Doctors Appointment for first time mum

    Hiya Im 12 weeks pregnant this week and im due my first doctors appointment in two weeks time and im just wondering what happens at the first appointment, when i went in to confirm my pregnancy the doctor said she would be checking for heartbeat when i came back in April so is that all that happens? my scan in the hospital is in June.
    Also does the father usually go to these appointments too?
    Thanks so much im all new to this and im pretty clueless! :)

    Hey:)

    Congrats!

    They just do a urine sample and listen to heart beat which is pretty much the same as all the hospital appointments!
    It is very much up to the dad if he wants to go he does though they nearly all go to the anomaly scan and I saw loads of them at the hospital appointments.
