I have a good bit of reseeding to do, both land that is in stubble and ley. Is there an easier alternative to picking the stones, I haven't really got the time and would like to see the back of them for good!

alot of reseeding contractors will probably have a stone rake which they could use for you, if you harrow instead of ploughing you probably wont have much of a stone problem anyway

How does a stone rake work? And how much would it cost? I'd prefer to plough to do a better job levelling the land, it'll be in grass for a long time to come

What part of the country are you in? We've got a stone burier and a stone rake that we use for reseeding. They both till the ground as well as levelling and taking care of the stones. PM me if you want more info or prices etc.
