This mysterious lololol person has done this a couple of times now: joining the channel in the early hours, posting a solitary lol before exiting.

It always seems to happen when I'm the only (active) user there.

Thus, I think it's reasonable to speculate that this loller has it out for me, knowing my dislike for the usage of 'lol' and capitalising on this knowledge to haunt me in the dead of night when I'm at my most vulnerable. He also has a sinister awareness of when I'm alone in the channel. Needless to say, I'm quaking in my socks.

its easier when you use an IRC client, because then you don't accidentally close the chat, and then you're around when chat actually happens.
