Can anyone give me advantages and disadvantages of the following floor structures; Hollowcore,Timber joists and beam/block.

We had planned to go for hollowcore, but was chatting to a guy last night who said you could get the same affect using timber joists (e.g sound reduction, fire proofing etc) for a lot less.

With hollowcore, I know you need to take into the cost of the concrete floor and the suspended ceiling.
