At the moment I don't have a TV. I live in France and have never thought much of French TV so I got rid of the space-wasting box and since have watched TV and DVDs on my PC monitor.

Now though due to being tired of my little 21" screen and my new adsl service offering me 100+ channels + VOD services it's time to invest in something a little bigger :)

The deal is that most of the TV we watch is via the 'net, through services such as BBC iplayer. I had intended on buying a TV with 2 HDMi imputs, one from the adsl box and the other plugged into a mediacenter computer. The goal is that my wife and I don't have to share the same computer for both gaming and tv but living in a 300sq/foot flat means that installing a new PC just to stream BBC Iplayer seems a bit overkill.

Otherwise would it be possible to connect the TV directly to the router and access flash-based players without having to use a separate computer ?
