The only issues I'd have with the ref is he should have flashed two yellows before the red. Hands in the face is going to get you at least a yellow, so when Babbel does it twice he deserves to be off, no one can have any complaints.

Luisaos tackle was a yellow nothing more , them sort of tackles happen every weekend in the premiership.

He wasn't involve in the second ball, but the keeper might not have been forced to punch it if he didn't try and get a head to it first time, so from that pov I can see it being given. I wish it wasn't though.

I am really glad we already have an away goal, but I can't see us winning tonight. Getting the odd chance though so who knows.

I think Benfica's defence isn't all that great.

Reminds me of Barcelona in a sense in that they aren't used to coming up all that much pressure because the ball spends the vast majority of the time in the opposition's half.

i think Babel was trying to stretch the rules a but, he put his hand in front of his face twice, but didnt push or move his hand forwards, basically no intent to strike him. It was the brazilian moving his head to hand that made it strike his face. Still a donkey for doing it.....i think he also gave him the smelly breath gesture

Oh absolutely we always have a chance, but they are getting so many great balls into the box, and so many heads on those balls, that they will at least severly trouble Pepe before long I think. Wi th those 2 and Gerrard playing well too we have definite escape avenues.
