Does anyone know if any of the local pubs are opening today (without alcohol obviously)?
I'm hoping to catch the rugby match and perhaps a bite to eat.

I believe Charlie Chawk is opening all his pubs today. Only serving food and soft drinks. I reckon this is the beginning of the end of this crazy law :)

It just shows the willingness on the part of the pub trade to open on good friday.

Let's hope this is the first nail in the coffin of one of our most antiquated liquor laws.

First nail in the coffin good.. Worldwide portrayal once again of the Irish being booze monkeys bad.
