Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great run by Evra, shame nobody on the end of it with a bit of composure.

The lack of Rooney and our piss poor performance up front explains a lot.

Its certainly a part of it.

But if the result stays the same I'll be waiting for the inevitable reactionary "one man team" stuff, which the usual mouth droolers on here will come out with.

Rooney being absent explains some of this performance but there are far too many individual players out there having absolutel nightmares for it to be the only explanation, not to mention the drop in the normal collective workrate and standard of passing.

Why only start playing when you're already fupped? This is a possible title decider and United have to be convinced to be bothered.

Maybe some other players could take lessons on how to get into the positions that he does, he's the only one of the top 3 with a bit of movement around the box

Any other strikers on the bench??

We couldn't string two passes topgether against Bayern and Rooeny played the full game. There's something amiss with United at the moment, the passing is awful, could it possibly be nerves when you consider the experience in the side?

    VDS - 3 league titles
    Neville - 8 league titles
    Vidic - 3 league titles
    Rio - 4 league titles
    Evra - 3 league titles
    Fletcher - 3 league titles
    Scholes - 9 league titles
    Giggs - 11 league titles
    Park - 3 league titles
    Valencia - 0 league titles
    Berbatov - 1 league title

48 league titles between them. But yeah you're right, probably a lack of experience.

Fletch must be knackered , hes been carrying Utd's MF all season

I reckon Fletch is just as equally important to United as Rooney.

Rooney done his job against Bayern - he scored a goal and had chances

Fletch on the other hand was piss poor by the standards you come to expect as were alot of others.

When both are missing its a serious problem for the team.

As the lads on Sky said Berba cant play on his own like Rooney up front and the quality of ball today has been poor every time we go forward.

To be fair to them they've had some really good possession in the last 10 mins or so. Just been quite poor in the final third.

Keep the faith and all that.

I just cant see it happening for United here. We need to get the finger out in a major way still.

that handball is a weird one, it's clearly accidental but his arm stopped the ball getting to Fletch...

Have you watched the second half? We've certainly upped our game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭Sizzler

As bad as Utd have been the only thing VDS has had to do is pick the ball out of the net, hes done nothing. Could turn out to be a real smash and grab for CFC.

Times running out and we're still not even doing the basics properly. We're handing the title to Chelsea here, can these pro's not make a decent effort?

We have, but not enough, plus we could hardly come out from a hairdryer special and play worse than we did in the first. We've been second best the whole game:(

thats a bit unlucky for utd, good spell on top then chelsea get a clearly offside goal. Great finish from Drogba though.

We're not in need of a moral victory, we need goals. Drogba just scored, thats the league gone now, so much for being the better side in the second half.
