Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi just wondering what do ye normally wear to work?

I'm in Cork and am trying to find nice fitting yet as cheap shirts any idea where to look? I'm a size 6-8 so like to have something not too tight at the chest but that also fits my waist.

    Thanks :)

on the subject of work clothes, how would people here define 'smart casual' for women? I'm starting a new job with this dresscode on tuesday - I'm opting for trousers, flat boots, a shirt and a top? also a coat and a bag.

That's fine, smart casual usually excludes jeans, tshirts with logos, vest tops etc.

Trousers, boots, shirt and top are fine.

Smart casual is trousers/skirt (maybe knee length) with a shirt, or cardigan, or long sleeved top. If you go into H & M, they have a lot of nice "work" type clothes, so do Dunnes. Actually I can't believe how much Dunnes clothes have improved the past few years, they used to be dud-o-rama but now they have some pretty nice stuff :)

Awear do nice cheap shirts. Saw a pink one that I fancied for work the other day. Beware though, their work trousers can be very random fits

suits are perfect for a work wardrobe as all you need is a top or shirt underneath and you're ready to go. you always look neat and smart in a suit. h&m usually have a great range, next are good too but a little older maybe.

dresses are great for summer with a jacket over. h&m are usually good for dresses.

pencil skirts and cardigans. a wear usually have ideal knit wear for work. savida is also quite good.

I like to keep my work wardrobe simple as I'm quite small.
