Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know of a conservation course that would run over the summer?
Wood, leather, rust stabilisation, that kind of thing.

I am not aware of any courses running over the summer. The IAI are running a one day First Aid for Finds course on the 12th of November. http://iai.ie/CPD_Files/IAI%20CPD%20programme%202010.pdf

I have never heard of any longer course in Ireland but there may well be courses in Dublin, especially from the fine art side of conservation. They (IPCRA) have a online register of Irish professsionals that may guide you in the right direction. Unfortunatly it appears to be down atm.

I did a short course here a few years back

Some one in IPCRA may be able to help you or sometimes the irish museum association run day courses on collection management or preventive conservation.
