It might be easier to post when she's not on the radio.

Why would you want to put a watch on Mammy.?

She says nothing, and does nothing of any consequence.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

I thought Mammy was great on the Sunday Supplement on Today FM last Sunday. Pulling no punches when it came to Child Abuse.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,575 ✭✭✭✭FlutterinBantam

What did she do about it, other than talk about it.?

She has been part of the Govt. for the last 14 years.. what has she done?

Please outline in detail Mammy's list of things done in relation to child abuse over the last 10 years??

Over to to Mr EFB... the floor is .......YOURS

Mammy I think was the term Bull Island coined for her.

Flutterin seemed to get very flustered with my post earlier  all I meant was I was impressed with her piece on today fm that day, didn't realize it meant I'd stopped short of cannonising her! Since FF sold her down the river in 2002, she is alot more outspoken on things, but then again sure she works like a black...

" January 2006 O'Rourke received the party nomination to stand at the 2007 general election. She narrowly defeated her nearest rival and Dáil election running mate, Kevin Boxer Moran of Athlone Town Council, causing a controversy when she described her political team as working "like blacks."[3] In May 2007 she was re-elected to the Dáil at the 2007 general election with her highest ever vote."

She's everywhere, on Sunday Supplement right now, was on Hooky a few days ago also on RTE or Last Word during the week. I presume she gets paid for her time, so she must be coining it.

Or not - when O'Brien asked her what was going on in FG her answer was 'I don't know'. That didn't stop her opinionating for a few minutes though!

I'm sick to the back teeth of Granny O'Rourke the school marm who always has an explanation for everything! If she was as good at doing as at talking while she was a Government minister we might have a better country now.

And radio producers take note: listeners want to hear NEW voices, not the same old same old time & time again.

On Pat Kennys show to talk about the FF poll woes for no obvious reason (or her so-called "insight")

Morning Ireland, talking about 12 weeks off.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,575 ✭✭✭✭FlutterinBantam

RTE are some crowd to go on about 12 weeks off.??

Why anyone takes Mammy seriously anymore is beyond me.

Taking money from the taxpayer under false pretensions.

She might plaw mauss the punters down around 'Arthlone' but the Flutt sees her for what she is

    A CLAPPED OUT, IRRELEVANT WINDBAG

I heard it Mike.. load of old guff again. 12 weeks off is a cynical attempt by her party to deflect attention from all of the things they have messed up, as they dont have to answer any questions about anything..

Just wondering, what is the story with the staff that work in the Oireachtas buildings, do they get the 12 weeks off as well or are the buildings kept open (so Mammy O'Rourke can go in and check on her eggs).

I think I remember hearing before that the place is kept open. And as we know, from having it rammed down our throats every time one of them is on the radio ... COMMITTEES WILL STILL BE MEETING OVER THE TWELVE WEEKS.

on with Sam Smyth again this morning

I normally like this show, tuned in, heard 2 seconds of her prattle and promptly switched over.

She can't be good for ratings. Why do they keep using the idiot?

Ah lads. Ye are being a bit harsh on Mammy Mary. I enjoy listening to her for many reasons the main one being that unlike most politicians, she tends to speak her mind instead of towing the party line religiously. She also comes across very well on Radio. Rock on Mammy!;)

She pretty much towed the party line yesterday; if there was any redeeming factor, it was a slight understated admission, but she certainly stuck to the party tactics of discrediting the questioner and minimising the reply!

Under that sheep's clothing lies a wolf with an FF brand on its heart......

She is on Newstalk now talking about shopping in LIDL

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

On her usual Newstalk midday soap box now, lecturing us about supermarkets...
Ben Dunne and Fergal Quinn telling us about how great value supermarkets are as well... nonsense.

Someone please give Ben Dunne his own radio show. I crack up listening to him.

"informed consumer and political reaction.." was kirbeards introduction.

What is it with radio stations and this woman??

Anyhow I switched off as soon as the words above were out of Damien's mouth.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

"The smell of the bread in SuperQuinn"... oh shut up Mary, why is she even on this discussion? Cant stand the woman, and she seems completely reluctant to accept what FF have done to the country.
