Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    As the title states.

Only been happening recently. Dont know if it has to do with the installation of itunes? Only got MS Security essentials and Eset Smart Security running on start up. I could google all day and try look for the options but what should I be looking for first or any tips or advise

    cheers

This could be your problem. Running 2 AV's can cause conflicts, slowdown, and other general nastiness.

Try just leaving ESET installed and see if that fixes the problem.

I suspect Esat is the problem myself.

I have on one main machine MSE, Malwarebytes (full ver) and PcTools system Doctor all running from start-up, besides a PcTools firewall.
I can still start up and actually use the machine within 30/40 seconds.
Ok, I know it also depends on the power of the actual machine but some applications seem more than others, to interfear with the starting up process. Norton's is another one that springs to mind.

you could go too start then search and type in msconfig system configuration will pop up go too start up disable the programs that you think are slowing up your computer but be careful you dont click the wrong one or then will be serious problems..

it could be eset but disabling it wont cause problems at all it will speed up your start up.

Disabling random services will inevitably end in pain.

Not at all if you do it right and you know what your clicking on and what programs your turning off on the start up.
