Domestic Twin Hot and Cold Waterpump

I have a twin hot and cold waterpump fed from a dual hot and cold cylinder. Since the recent water rationing when mains water supply was cut off at different times I can only get hot water, no cold from pump.
Would this be caused by the pump running dry or would there be airlock in pump or system ?

Have you taken off the hoses and cleaned the filters. Dirt might be caught especially in the cold filter.

and no the council would not be liable,

as joey said , it could be dirt in the filter, or the cold feed to the pump could be airlocked , if fitted correctly there should be isolation valves on the supplies to the pump, shut the valve and disconnect the hose , put a bucket or basin under the hose and open the valve until there is a good flow of water , this should clear any air , this is also a good time to check the filters. hope this helps.
