Natural Slate Roof & Exterior Walls - Cost & Recommendations

    Hi All,

    We want to re-do the roof of a recently purchased property in natural slate. We also want to tear down the imitation slate that is currently on the exterior walls and replace it with same (natural slate).

    The measurements are as follows:

    Roof:
    38 metres squared (approx)

    Exterior Walls:
    Front of house: 23 metres squared (approx)
    Side of house: 44 metres squared (approx)
    (No slate needed on the back wall)

    Can anyone give us a real rough estimate based on the above measurements? (I have provided measurements of entire wall surface, though we would only do the top half the house in slate and paint the lower half white, similar to attached photo).

    Can anyone recommend roofing contractors / companies that do this kind of thing? We are in County Cork.

    The neighbours house (attached photo) is the finish we would be looking for.

    Hello,

    We managed to figure out how much the materials (slate) would cost approx.

    Can anyone help me try to calculate how much the labour would cost? It's too premature to contact companies regarding quotes yet, what we need is to just gauge a rough estimate at this point.
