I speak for everyone on this when I say, WTF was that???

It was so ridiculously out-of-place and just weird.

That chair-shot was hard to watch. There really should be an overalll rule in Wrestling (EVERY promotion) that unprotected chair shot's should be banned.

It was a very hard chair shot. I'm not a fan of chair shots in every show but when used properly they are good. But theres nothing worse than watching one wrestler giving another a tame chairshot. I dont have a problem with the odd unprotected chair shot as long as they are used sparingly.

All I can say is that I hate watching an unprotected chair shot

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez went mental about the chairshot and other TNA stuff on their show.

Have to disagree here. Its not even the fact that it was a hard chairshot, or that it looked good or not. It was the fact that it was totally unprotected. There's just no need for it. Lazy booking IMO, there are plenty ways to make Terry look like a monster. Given everything that happened with Benoit et al, those days should be long gone. There is no place in wrestling for that kind of stupidity IMO, anywhere on the card, sparingly or otherwise. Its pointless and unnecesary and the price you pay with your health for taking them could never be compensated for by the advancement of a wrestling angle.

Before they were banned in the WWE most wrestlers used there hand to lessen the impact. I'm not bothered about it as I'm not a fan of violent gimmick matches anyway so dont miss them.

Fair enough, I see where you are coming from, and yes in the end while there is and always will be risks in wrestling it is important that the health of the performers is always looked after.

On another note, I wish TNA would cut down on the amount of blading we see each week.

Tbh the thing i really noticed last night is TNA just every opportunity to let you know that they're TV-14 after every single ad break and the blood and chairshot by extension are another way to seem like an anti-WWE, but fans dont want this anymore its not ECW

Yes, they seem to be going out of their way to do stuff like blading and chairshots just to seem different. Which makes it all the more stupid. They're having guys risk their health not to advance storylines, but just to get one up on a company thats so far ahead of them in the ratings they're a speck in the distance.

    Retarded. F*ck TNA tbh.

The fact that McGuinness couldnt go to WWE because he failed a medical, but TNA didnt give a fu*k says it all really tbh, Did you see Angles Ladder match? He looked like he broke his neck on the outside, then within 2 minutes did a missle dropkick to the ladder and a moonsault on the ladder.. insane.

Angle is a fool about his own health and safety, so TNA, a company that'll only encourage his stupid behaviour is probably the worst place in the world he could be wrestling. The bump was nuts.

Putting him in a ladder match with the most injury prone wrestler in the world with a bloody key as the prize, is just another example of sheer idiocy on behalf of TNA.

I just watched the show now. Everything about it reeked of desperation.

I think its stupid giving away a ladder match on free TV anyway.

Speaking of Angle and his health, wasn't that part of the reason WWE let him go. Hes addiction to painkillers and he refused to take time off to rehab. TNA are so concerned about their losing battle with the WWE that the the health and safety of their performers will take a back seat. Again though WWE are hardly any better when it comes to looking after their performers. Any changes thet make is practiclly forced on them by media pressure.

I wouldn't exactly say that. Haven't they banned unprotected chairshots to the head recently but never even announced it or anything?

How the hell did Daniels get released and guys like Terry, OJ, The Band, Williams etc are still around

Ah in fairness to Doug Williams he's an awesome technical wrestler and the British Invasion is a smart move seeing how important the UK market is to TNA

For the most part though. The wellness policy didn't come in to affect until after Eddie died and it wasn't until after the media frenzy following the Benoit tragedy that the WWE really worked on making changes. And wrestlers still have to work crazy schedules with very little time off. Though improvements have been made they have been slow in coming. IMO The Wellness Policy is really important and it was one of the good things to come from the Eddie Guerrero tragedy.

Yeah, I do agree the schedule is kinda ridiculous. I remember seeing an interview with Triple H recently where he says he bought shares in an airline company so as he could fly home on a private jet if he has 3/4 of the day off so he can see his kids or something like that

I find it hilarious the amount of people sit through TNA every week just so they can give out about. Really sad.

The enjoyable part is the giving out about it. No point in being positive on the internet Flan, no fun.:pac:

Agreed. It's just stupid. They have the opposite mentality from WWE in that their PPV's are basically used to promote their TV, which when you think about their buy rates is really stupid.

i'm kinda looking forward to team hogan v team flair now with rvd, hardy, wolfe and beer money added

i wanted wolfe to beat pope to take the chance to face aj for the title

    clusterf*ck of a show.

and I actually feel for Angle.

he's stupid about his own health and safety, to the point of being clinically insane, and yet the company that employs him couldn't give a f*ck.

i'm pretty sure the guy almost died last night, and i'm not saying that at all flippantly.

    a disgraceful organisation.

    Fair point.

Personally, I think this weeks Impact sounds terrible, and therefore won't watch it. I will however watch the ladder match, as it sounds awesome. Angle doing a moonsault off a ladder! Brilliant. I don't care if he's putting his life on the line out there. I'm his fan, not his wife.

Seems pretty intense, sorta aprahensive about seeing Kurt nearly kill himself though. Ric Flair should really just go the wy of ol' imo.

Wow so many criticism about TNA? i thought you wrestling fans are sick of WWE PG crap and some boring matches they produces. Who cares if Angle nearly killed himself or giving away free ladder match TNA has the best matches and entertaining to watch despite the awful booking. If you dont like TNA simply dont watch it then. I like both WWE and TNA brands but theres plenty things they need to work on if they want to turn this business around. If ppl wants to get the attitude era back or something like that all legends need to step down and let the young guns took over. You think were going to see AJ styles v Hogan for the title at lockdown? Thanks to TNA were getting Styles v Dinero match. I could go on forever but ppl need to chill out about making TNA remarks. I like the idea of WWE NXT and giving swagger the world title as long as both companies keep pushing the young guys thats all we need to get this business back in track.

No WWE has been better over the last three months than any other time in the last nine years.

i think TNA have given up on their PPVs; all their big stuff happens on free TV. With that in mind, it's no wonder why better stuff is 'given away' on TV; who really cares about the PPV if only 20,000 or less buy it? (20,000 is being generous!)

I only finished iMPACT now. Holy crap stop saying "lockbox"! I have to say though that women's match was hot. Lots of skin on display. I reckon if i wasn't a wrestling fan i'd've still watched that match!

I don't like this business of promoting things that won't happen/delivering the most minimum possible - i.e that striptease. WOW nothing happened. Although Lacey was showing off a fair amount of ass there must've been less than 20 seconds on her :(

Also zombie hot Daffney didn't show off anything :(

i still look forward to impact much more though; they really do try....even if they're poor storytellers, there's many stories and they all progress...
