Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Have a 1.6 16v 323 saloon (2001)
    Front brake caliper needs replacement.
Car has ABS and traction control

Will a caliper from the much more common 1.3 or 1.5 models fit (presuming they have ABS) ?

just incase anyone else needs to know, they're the same on the 1.3 and 1.5, but 1.6, 1.8 and diesels all have different calipers, in some cases a few different types for each engine :(

Thats a bit of a balls.

    Is the caliper beyond repair?

Nope, gonna clean it up again. it lasted 7 months last time. Can get a recon one for 120 with the old caliper if it goes again. chances are the car will be replaced in the meantime.

That model 323 is a nightmare to get stuff for in a 1.6 as they only ran them for about 18 months and at that nobody in this country bought them! pity as they're a great yoke and have huge spec.
