Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is a photo I have wanted to do for a long time and I finally got it on my 5th attempt! It was taken from the roof of the Montparnasse Tower in the south of Paris. I was there for the weekend and went up the tower on Thursday evening but there was a gale blowing so didn't get the shots. I tried again on Saturday evening and this time it was lovely and calm. This is 7 shots stitched together.

Nice shot, anything you can do in PP to remove the purple fringing? Might make it abit sharper looking

Sorry i don't understand. Purple fringing?
....does it need to be shaper?

I think those flowers have that fringing as part of their make-up, no?

There's some purple fringing (colour aberation) around the bottom left side of the daisy petals. I think there might also be some camera shake. Was this taken hand-held?

Dunno if this is place to C&C my pic (but i'm all ears if mods permit) but at 1/8000 sec i think i could afford hand-held.

Thanks explanation, i now understand what plasticman3327 meant by purple fringing. Think that might be down to my PP and sharping. Will be more careful next time

I think the picture is lovely as it is. Very surprised at comments about "sharper" and "purple" and "camera shake". Its a nice simple photo and nicely taken too. If it was any sharper it would be sharper than the human eye. Surely every single photo doesn't have to be adjusted and sharpened and cleaned. I think it's pretty just as it is, imaginary flaws and all!

Sorry for being critical, I do like the picture. I mentioned camera shake because there appears to be ghosting on the petals. I should have take Katie's approach! :)

Just the natural light that was coming in the pub window.

The picture is nice but purple fringe is indeed there, maybe one of the more techy heads than myself can explain how and why it is there?
Maybe as Longshanks said it's to do with his PP?
    I am not sure.
