Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nice shot, but I think it would have looked better if all the cars were coloured. The car beside it especially looks out of place.

+1 if you are talking about EAS shot of his daughter. The kite shot is not half bad either. ;)

I am...I tried to quote it without the pic but failed. The tones/colours...it just all works well together and that poignant moment of interest in the camera is caught perfectly.

My first picture on Boards Photography. I bought my first DSLR a few weeks ago and have been messing around with it almost everyday (results are varied to say the least) pretty random but heres one I like.

I love the shot hb but did you ever even think of cropping it down a fraction?

When I say down - I mean removing some of the 'sky'.

Yeah, I did. I wasn't too sure about it so I asked the OH and he liked it how it was so I ended up with that version. I kind of like all the sky, but maybe it is a little much.

    Another from earlier today;

I was out in the Pheonix Park on Saturday, when I
discovered this young lady doing Slalom skating.
She demonstrated some great skill on the skates.

Came across this guy today while out in the garden. Probably not everyones cup of tea.

Anyway, It's a Backswimmer, Notonectidae notonecta sp. These are one of those surface swimmers with long legs that you'd often see on very still water. It's was probably looking for a pond when I found it on a glass surface.

Just saw this while I was back in Dublin about to head back to the West. I'm patiently waiting for my first DSLR...so fingers crossed it adds something else. I've only been interested in photos for a few months, and only really started taking 'thoughtful' (as in I think it through - not me trying to be deep!!) photos.

There's a good few spots near Antwerp (and in the town): Leuven, Mechelen, The beach in Antwerp, the cathedral, or even go down to BXL.

    Hi Pete

I wasn't really expecting people to like it, I can't figure out why I like it but I really do for some reason. I'm sure it is probably technically all over the place like you said, I'm still figuring things out. Appreciate the feedback though.

You even included the new hub in fellows square.

How did you get away using a tripod in TCD?

No tripod. Any of these 360º shots I do I've never bothered with a tripod.
