Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dunphy talking nonsense. Saying Inter will give them a real game, like they did in the groups?

Alves is a headbanger? Probably the best right back in the world.

people saying that it was just mind games is nonsense, we saw him twist his ankle, he didn't play against Chelsea, his leg was in plaster and he was on crutches. he was injured. the prognosis for the injury was 2-4 weeks, a week later he's playing. its a risk. rooney is a good player, but he ain't the bionic man. bayern should boot the ankles off him.

we don't know what the prognosis was, I didn't see the x-ray, did you? i didn't talk to the doctor, did you?

cas said when he seen it he could be back after a few days.

    cas knows his **** man.

    The Inter coment is fair.

They'll be a far different animal a knok out game. they certainly won't give Barca the space Arsenal gifted them over the two legs.

Expect it to be extremely tight, with Mourinho trying to smother them over the 180 mins.

I think and hope Barca beat them, but it'll be tight IMO.

Inter comment is speculation based probably on the Chelsea game. Inter parked the bus in the groups and they managed a nil nil at San Siro, and Barca breezed them 2 nil at home. I've seen nothing to suggest Inter will do any better these 2 ties. They MIGHT, but I've seen nothing to suggest it.

I don't pretend to know anything about his injury or even whether Man Utd is a "one man team" or not....
I was only making the point that this decision to put him on could be used by some to further their argument that Man Utd is a "one man team"

Not my argument, only an observation

Who cares what ABU's think/say, Every team wants their best players on the pitch for their big games United are no different. I don't believe Fergie is taking a risk with him, the injury looked pretty insignificant from day 1 imo

Big decision starting Rooney, not sure how he can start. I think this could come back to haunt him. Ribery and Robben will cause alot of trouble all night long. If Rooney goes off injured that could be the killer blow for Utd and a score draw tonight could be the best they could get I think. If he is fit and well the game will be completely different as he has been on fire, Utd to win by 2 .

    Excellent thorough retort.
Eamo obviously knows something other people don't OR people should instantly ignore when the talk about a non English team.

Haha "If Munich are a team of any description, they will go through tonight".

Oh Eamo, you are such a troller.

Sir Alex Ferguson on the inclusion of Wayne Rooney: "It wasn't a serious injury and obviously he wasn't fit for Saturday but the progress in the last two days has been incredible. Yesterday afternoon, he did some real good training. I made my mind up after I saw him yesterday. He's not done a lot of training but we hope the work he's done in the gymnasium compensates. There's no risk as it was a soft tissue injury, not ligament damage. He can play without worry of a recurrence."

rooney will get booked, no doubt.

How is that in any way an ABU statement. It is a puzzler that Rooney starts after the original prognosis was 3-4 weeks.

Amazing how the majority of the reports all along mentioned damaged ligaments, yet now it was only soft tissue damage that poses 'no risk of recurrence'. We'll soon find out. I reckon Van Bommel might test that hypothesis.
