Currently have a Sony Bravia 55" 1080p 50hz RPTV and wish to upgrade to a higher spec TV.
    Must haves
    55" - 60"
    100hz +
    3 HDMI +
Mpeg 4 tuner would be nice but not a requirement

Not bothered about sound or internet features, picture quality is the main concern

Open to suggestions............but not at a crazy price (€3k)

My stuff for sale on Adverts inc. EDDI, hot water cylinder, roof rails...

    Hi Slave1

Yep bet that TV dominates your room eh!
    I remember those TV's....B-I-G!!!

We have a new 52PFL8605H LED Edge lit LCD TV due in a couple of months.
No spec to post up for you as yet but it has the following..

    1080p Full HD TV
    200Hz refresh rate
    1ms response time
    500000:1 contrast ratio
    4 HDMI inputs
    MPEG4 tuner
    Perfect Pixel Image Processing
and is a 3D ready TV to boot.

This TV is expected to sell for €2499.99 (or €2249.99 after your 10% Philips Shop Boards Discount)

Its "only" a 52 inch screen size but in its favour its not the size of a small extension.....

    Slave,

    back again!

Ok it appears that the 60PS8000 is now discontinued - the new range I can price as follows:

    60PK590 - £1699.95

    60PK790 - £1949.95

    60PK990 - £2199.95

    All these prices are delivered

Here is the 1st review of the PK990 range (it's the 50") - and it's a cracking review!

    http://whathifi.com/Review/LG-50PK990/

Keep me posted if any of these are interesting,

Thanks for getting back, the pioneer is out of my price range I'd safely say and I don't want to pay the premium of a new model.
There are 60PS8000s still floating around on the usual websites so I was looking to grab an end of line bargain with this choice.
If one happens to find it's magical way into you please PM me
    Thanks

Would you have a ballpark idea of when these sammys are due ?
A few weeks or a few Mths ?
They seem to be good TV's and price ballpark not too bad either.
Will drop you a PM re the other options

Thanks again for the advice and tempting offers ;)
