Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Andy,

I have a 1993 Toyota Sera with 5E-FHE engine. Your Cynos, as its a 1.5, either has the 5E-FE engine or 5E-FHE. Either way, the battery code you're looking for is 053. If going to Halfords its HB053, and the battery is the same as the one sold for a Nissan Micra. The terminals are the correct size and correctly placed on this battery, and it fits perfectly.
You could also use a Suzuki Super Carry (Suzuki mini-van) battery but I'm unsure of the code. The 053 battery has more than enough power unless you're running a huge amount of power hungry gear. I'm using the HB053, and run a power hungry stereo / speaker / lights system, and its yet to let me down.

    Hope this helps.

    - Gary

Incredibly rare car, the Sera. I was thinking of trying to buy one this summer but can't find any! Well, none at a reasonable price anyway.
