Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Kildare Half Marathon - Backup pacers wanted

    Hi,

I have pacers organised for the Kildare Half Marathon on May 9th for 1:30, 1:45 and 2:00. I was hoping to have backup pacers available just incase someone gets injured close to the time or even on the way around!!

As a backup pacer you would hopefully only have to give encouragement to your group but you never know.

We will give full entry to anyone willing to help out and have some light refreshments on the day.

    Thanks.

Maybe put in your criteria for pacing each group mate. So people know if they have a fast enough time.

    No problem.

In my opinion pacing experience would be great but not essential, just as long as the time is comfortable enough for you to spend some of your energy encouraging the group and making sure that the pace is on target.

    My thoughts would be for
1:30 pacer should be able to run a half marathon in roughly sub 1:23,
1:45 pacer should be able to run a half marathon in roughly sub 1:35,
2:00 pacer should be able to run a half marathon in roughly sub 1:45

That is not hard and fast so if you are willing to do it but not sure then get onto me.
