Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Standard SD card (*not* SDHC) over 4GB?

Hi all, hope this is in the right forum.

Having bought a Tevion mp3 CD player for the car, and seeing that the manual said it accepted SD cards up to 8GB, I bought one and popped it in with a load of music on ...zilch. :(

Turns out the unit isn't SDHC-compatible and will only read from a standard SD card. Thing is, I'm finding it quite difficult to source one of these in an 8GB capacity that's not SDHC. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    TIA

Edit: Or does anyone have one they'd be willing to swap?

4GB Non-SDHC here, the 8GB ones dont seem to exist. Two 4GB cards should do the trick?

As far as I know the standard SD specification only allows for capacities up to 4GB. After that you're into SDHC territory.

To be honest I've no idea what sort of 8GB non-SDHC card Tevion might be referring to.

As recommended, two 4GB cards are probably your best bet.

    Cheers, lads.

Bit mad that the newer SDHC cards are cheaper, isn't it? Supply and demand... :(
