Could never imagine Kris Boyd becoming a world cup superstar scoring the winning goals!!:pac:

Yeah, Chelsea have the Zola Arena in my game too. In my FM 2010 I was about 20 years or so in, and Ireland won the world cup. I could screenshot it but I'd have to reinstall FM 2010, and im not arsed. ha. Strange though, I had bought an Irish player Noel Fitzgerald from st pats for 150k, it was a nothing buy, just hoping to sell him on in the future for profit, but when he hit about 23 yrs old he just became unreal, one of the worlds best strikers. If Carlsberg did real life

In my first season with Celtic played Spurs in the play-off for Champions League group stages. Happily won the first leg 3-2 at home, thanks to a hat-trick from Hooper. Second leg went for a more defensive approach trying to be safe. I ended up winning 11-1. Samaras and Hooper scoring 9 goals between them. The other two were OG's I think !!

    Just pure madness!
    I'm not complaining though...:D

Alright, not directly in the game, but I'm playing as Salthill Devon, and we've got Bonagee United (Letterkenny) in the League Cup. So I Googled them, and found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonagee_United_F.C.#Famous_lawsuit
On October 3 1993 former Bonagee footballer Dessie Larkin incurred severe burns to his scrotum as he rubbed it over the lime used to mark the football pitch. 13 years later Larkin sued the Football Association of Ireland...

    bwahahahaha ;)

    There is a few gems in my game in my 22nd season of FM08;

Ireland won the 2014 World cup beating Brazil 2-0 in the final making Stan a hero and Robbie got the two goals in his last ever game for Ireland.

Northern Ireland finished second in World cups 2022 and 2026.

Steven Reid is my current chairman at Liverpool,

Man Uniited got relegated to the Championship,

Ian Holloway won a league and champions league with Newcastle,

    Hull winning the league,

Man City going bankrupt and falling into the League 2.

They are a few of the better ones.

Newcastle blew a 12 point lead with 7 games left and I won the league last season. That was quite ironic as well!

He is probably still being picked for Ireland too as a player. He will never go away!

Don Givens became the new Republic of Ireland manager after Trap retired. Didn't make me laugh, more like made me die a little inside.

I reported that too actually (when he got the senior role i mean!). :)

It happened in my game, when I applied again after Givens retired (about 2 internationals later) I got the Ireland job. I had a nice auld rant when Keane got the job and appointed Staunton as the u21 manager too

SI couldnt test a game to save themselves

I don't know where they were then, but they are currently 11th with Kevin Blackwell at the helm. They go through some amount of managers.

Man City fired Mancini, before re-hiring him two seasons later, and sacking him six months later.

The managerial merry-go-round in the Premiership is unreal.

Edit: Kevin Blackwell has just been sacked and replaced by the one and only, Mick McCarthy.
