Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Good old sensible Guardian.

Why is it that it's the female journalists that have the "balls" to go to an MMA gym and check it out for themselves? They usually end up writing decent, well informed articles. While the men watch UFC and write ignorant, ill informed, sensationalist articles from behind the safety of their desks or radio mic.

So, who's going to invite Joe Duffy down for a training session? ;)

A nice article there. Its rare a "Journalist" will actually go and experience the sport to get a balanced view.

Even if a couple of things were thrown in there that i would've liked to have seen excluded (Like the part about the 3 confirmed deaths, more people have died playing football in the past coupld of years), i appreciate the fact that it is actually a balanced article.

It's not even 3 confirmed deaths though is it?

Douglas Dedge in the Ukraine and some silly sod in a restaurant in South Korea can't be counted as MMA deaths anymore than me driving the car into a tree at 95 would count as a death in Motorsport.

Sammy Vasquez is the only official one as far as I know.

Not bad article though compared to the usual mush.
