Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In amongst the new offerings from Ibanez, I came across this bass today. It's a 4 string fretted and 2 string fretless bass. The tuning is (high to low) GDGDAE so in effect the top 2 strings are duplicated by the next two.

It sounds like something someone might get made up as a custom item so I'm surprised it's in general production. I can't really see the point in it to be honest but then I said the same about 5 and 6 string basses once upon a time too so what do I know? :pac:

It looks interesting alright, kinda reminds me in an indirect way, of the Billy Sheehan sig that had the higher frets of the higher strings scalloped.

I've seen it already, there was a big thread on it over at Harmony Central. I guess it may be useful to some but I don't think I'd buy one. The name is bloody awful too! :p

Are those forums much good? I don't really visit many other music ones besides here and TalkBass.

Yeah they're excellent and the bass mods over there are awesome too... especially that Irish bloke! :pac:
It's a lot more relaxed than TalkBass but there still are rules like every forum.
