Welsh rockers LOST PROPHETS have announced an intimate Dublin date at The Academy on May 18th. This will coincide with the recent release of their excellent fourth studio album “The Betrayed”. Tickets priced at €25 euro including booking fee go on sale this Friday 9th April at 9am.

This is sure to be a massive revelation to Irish fans who have not seen them here since their last sold out show at The Ambassador Theatre in 2004. This Dublin show will be a warm up for their hectic upcoming summer schedule where they will be performing on the world’s biggest stages. LOST PROPHETS have won several top awards through NME, Kerrang and Pop Factory since their formation in Wales in 1997.

Note: this is an all ages show – no alcohol will be served.

Even though its gonna be All Ages :( i cant wait for it dying to see them since about 2005. Will admit there 2 latest albums are not that good still gonna go

Saw them in the Ambassador in 2001? When they played with Andrew W.K and Black Rebel Motorcycle club. They were the only good act. Was chatting to them in the lobby after and then in the chipper across the road, very sound, pity they look like such idiots in their giant caps and skinny jeans.

Saw them again at Ozfest 2002, they played early but were excellent. DJ got a good loogie on some a**hole up front who spent the entire show giving them the finger (why would you not just go the bar?).

Haven't listened to anything since the 2nd album but may give em a listen. Small venues are always good. What time is the gig at? Really sucks that it's a non alcoholic gig. I do enjoy a few beers at a gig.

Thinking about heading along to this myself.

The academy sometimes opens up the green room bar during over 14's/all ages concerts. Can't bring the drinks into the main venue but you can enjoy a few beforehand. I'll probably just go to the Oval instead
