Belly tattoos and pregnancy

What happens? Do they stretch and go all disfigured? A lot of girls I know have little tattoos on their hips, I'd like a tattoo on my ribcage but I'd worry it would go blurry or something if I was expecting.

I think it'd probably depend on the placement and also the type of skin you have, ie if you're already prone to stretchmarks and it's in a place that will stretch while pregnant then it's probably not the best idea.

I know when I was looking for designs/ideas for my next tattoo I wanted one that dropped from my back over my hip to the front and one Google of 'tattoos post pregnancy' convinced me not to.

I'm sure there are people on here who've had experience with it, good or bad, but that's just my experience of looking into it myself.
