Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it just me or has anyone noticed that all nissans timing chain problems started soon after nissan went into partnership with renault? I guess you could blame cost cutting by Carlos Ghosn, (nissan and renaults new boss). I think that choice of partner was a bad move on nissans part as thier reliability is now in tatters. Renaults were not very good to start with (thats my personal opinion) and now nissan is going to get a bad name if they keep going the way they are. Im driving a 94 sunny for years now with no problems. The timing chains should last the lifetime of the car, no excuses. I would be reluctant to give my car to nissans to service now that they seem to be using sub standard parts and charging so much for them. Like €500 for a maf, when all you got to do is give it a clean with isopropyl alcohol (in the spray form). Its worked for me when my one started to play up.
