    What were they right about?

    Drawing was retarded and you rarely have girls in your party.

    I will make an exception for Aeris though - excellent magic user. Actually so was Penelo and LuLu too.

    Was Garnet particularly good? I know she was sposed to be a mage as well but can't remember how good. Anyway going off-topic....

    Yeah, I remember using her quite a bit. She was pretty much essential towards the end of the game I think, although I haven't played that game in over six years so my memory's pretty fuzzy... Really want to replay IX now!
