I don't see why people are highlighting that the poor guy wasn't from Ireland, the fact that a 15 year old, regardless of nationality was stabbed and killed by two grown men is reason enough to Rally.
Isn't the problem about Racism that people are seen differently because of race/what ever, so the fact that people are focusing more on the Racial part slightly counterproductive to the whole thing?

Well I think the momentum behind this from his school, family, and there's a big push aswell from League of Ireland fans over clubs forums, foot.ie and facebook.

most people living here want to get on with there life and let the gardai carry out the investigation at the moment all we are hearing is one side of the story,any speculation about the case in the media could see the court case go tits up and those responsible walk free on a tech case.

the sunday tribune did a piece http://www.tribune.ie/news/article/2010/apr/04/murdered-just-for-being-black/
in that article people could leave messages of sympathy which in my veiw some have gotten out of control,one knobhead(prob dailly mail/sun reader) made a statement about b*acks out of ireland etc.

in another three responses(i presume from an african person) they state that ireland will have an 9/11 and that the gardai&security service are going get it, in all the years that i have been a member of different forums i have never come accross crap like that.

Exactly. Which is why there should be no rally. Close ranks, communicate with the police, keep it formal and legal, and let the legal process run it's course. That is always the best way. But like I said, the Liberals need this. They thrive off the tension.
