There is always is always people in the XGC from 2 o'clock. Current cost is €5.

Midweek Inferno - Every Wednesday - Dublin - Xtreme Gaming Cafe
Midweek casuals currently in development. Due to low numbers please look for or create a thread acknowledging your interest before attending. A later event which generally starts at about 4 o'clock.

West Side Throwdown - Every Saturday - Limerick - Moviedrome
A burgeoning scene hoping to overthrow the east coast dominance. Currently growing so please look for a thread confirming event. Create one if it's needed.

I thought it might be handy to have a place where we could compile all events that are running. The next inferno tournament and the FrontierX events (Tournaments or Casuals? A mix?) can be added as soon their dates are decided.

Like the others said I main Akuma. I wore a stupid blue beany hat at the last inferno at XGC.

Im not sure who Blag is, I beat the hounds sagat and imbrianblesseds Bison in the group stage..maybe Blag is one of them? I lost to Cobbelcog and Chunkis later tho.. Cobbel completely overwhelmed me and Chunkis switched to Ryu after I won Akuma mirror match and completely out foxed me. :mad:

Will XGC casuals be Xbox or PS3 or both?
If Wednesday casuals are on this week il be there!

I would like to point out that there is nothing "one off" about these. To clear it up; there are 6 ranbats per game over the academic year.

It says its 5euro, do you have a deal with them or something?
Just curious if u need an account there or anything.

Just come in and go to the back and go up the stairs, no need to bother with front desk

No deal on with them, a few guys rent out some consoles and at the end of the day when people are leaving, getting busses etc we just throw one of the lads some money (I always ask the person how much do they think I should give them, altho it's never been more than 4 or 5 quid)

Recently though I believe we have been having one particular person in charge of the pot so you just hand them yer money before you leave

IIRC, We paid €20 for Lan Party with a €60 prize.

You have to remember that the €35 is for a full weekend LAN and the €100 prize is most likely set from it being seen as a side event. As with LAN party if we can get people going down just for the street fighter comp then we may be able to get a reduction in the price.

They have €100 allocated as prize money for SF IV.
Fifa 10 has a €250 allocated prize money.

€500 Cash prize for CS:S.
€300 Cash prize for L4D.
€300 Cash prize for Battlefield Bad Company 2.
€300 Cash prize for Team Fortress 2.

They are all team based games so the cash prizes will be quite low for each indvidual player.

Fifa 10 looks to have the biggest prize per player.

No mention of what the prize split will be in each game.

So chances are the winner cant even cover their costs!!

Now I dont want to sound greedy but the thoughts of winning a tournament and not even covering costs doesnt sit will with me.
