    Hi Guys,

    Just wondering is there anywhere in the city centre where you can have a pint and some pub grub on a Friday evening without getting banged into by after work drunk heads:pac:

    I've a friend coming here tonight and we want to have a few pints and some cheap an cheerful food..

    Was in Galway recently - you cannot beat the Kinghead for the food, great feed plus nice and cheap! not sure if the after work drunks will be there.......... but worth having a drink and food there for definite:)

    Kelly's bar on Bridge St has had some lovely grub of late, if you get a snug it's nice and cosy.

    Mc Swiggans is grand for quiet pints and food is good. Guinness is good and 3 quid a pint last time I was there.

    Seconded on The Dail - it's not hugely busy upstairs and the food is great :)

    And not cheap.

    But really nice food and not a bad place for a quiet drink. Definitely not a rowdy place.
