Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This only happened today. I have an 06 Idea. Startup check was fine, lights off. Driving for about 2 mins when I see the lights symbol on? I thought I'd switched them on by accident and went to turn them off but they were already off? I checked when I parked and they were def on even though they were turned off at the stalk. It makes no difference if I switch from parking to full lights, the same 3 bulbs are lighting. Any ideas?

You might have a wiring issue....would not surprise me

OR something in you light switch stalk is buggered.

Hmmm.... Not too bothered as it's still under guarantee. Garage is in Wicklow though so a tad inconvenient! Was hoping it would be something simple that didn't involve a trip to the garage!

It could well be something simple, you could mess around with the switch yourself, it's not rocket science really unless your a complete novice.
A wiring issue (cross talk) would be where electrical current from another wire is leaking it's current into your lights wiring and triggering them. That would be something I would have a dealer fix but if it were a switch issue I would DIY it.

Sounds like you have an earthing issue with one of the lights wires.

So, trip back to garage then?

Just on the off chance...does it have auto lights and the walk me home ones? I know it probably doesn't but they confused the hell out a neighbour of mine one time:D

Wouldn't bother me anyway, i drive with my dipped lights on all the time. Would be pretty handy if they came on when i switched on the engine:)
