    guys i heard before that some clubs dont allow semi auto shotguns is this true and if so why?

    for game shooting of clays ?

    The chief problem with them is that they can't be broken open like a s/s or o/u and so are not as obviously safe as the double barrels are , and if you are shooting dtl for example the empty shells can be spat into the guys face to the right of you unless you're on the last stand.

    but isnt there a new berretta semi auto that breaks open wouldnt this solve some of the problem?

    Yes, the Beretta UGB25.........

    ......but with prices starting at the €2400+ mark you could have your choice of alot of quality O/Us or if you were not pushed just about any semi auto.

    Besides once you have a breech flag in it and keep it pointed barrel/muzzle upwards you have nothing to worry about. Alot of the American shooters use semi auto. I think thats all in sporting trap though.

    at 2400 you are rapidly approacing beretta 682 territory

    The top model trap version starts at €3700 or so. You are approaching DT10 money at that.
