It's a pity they couldn't make that Dolans event a yearly one. The May bank holiday weekend is there for the taking if we (limerick) could have enough events to make the city "the" place to be. Like Cork has done with the Jazz festival on the October weekend, thousands attend that even though they wouldn't know a saxaphone from a chello.

    Why not?

We have loads of money now since we got that €10m windfall recently.

Didn't they have big screens down by the Locke last year for the semi-final? I was at the game :( but I'm sure they did.

They should really be trying to put on high profile gigs over this weekend, like in King Johns castle or something. It would be perfect. There should be live music in the pubs too.

I think screens around the city would be a great idea!
The Great Limerick Run is on earlier that day (or will be continuing through the rugby match for some!) While the crowd is in town supporting the runners/joggers/walkers then why not drum up support for our Mighty Munster as well and keep the atmosphere alive.
I believe there's to be a fireworks display on Sunday night as well!!!! What a fun filled day it'll be :D:D:D I can't wait!
