I decided to put a bet on each horse in the race:D:D

It could be profitable if a few big priced are placed or win but did it for the laugh really

i put 0.20c each way on each horse
    Total cost = €16.00
I backed them earlier when the prices were bigger in Victor chandler

I'll let you know how much i get back after the race

Would you not be losing money if a horse with low odds/favourite wins?

Just heard on C4 racing, somebody has placed £5000 on a 16/1 shot but didn't hear the name of the horse .

Yes i would but if a few 50-1's were placed it would get back most of my money anyway.

I think there will be a big priced winner though

Only have €16 in total anyway and i think i;ll get most of it back.

I think the maximum a could get back is around €300 thats if a 100-1 won and other larger priced horses were placed

Not much chance of it but it'll be interesting to see what returns are made anyway

Luckily I heard them mention the price dropping dramatically on WH radio and got in at 17s. The person who put the 5000 down probably got in at mid 20s or so.

    It wasn't JP.
BBC had the docket £5000 @ 16/1 with Chronicles bookies but it wasn't JP.

Incidentally about JP. When the National was abandoned in 1993 the course sent him (and all other Irish owners) a cheque for £2000 to cover expenses but he sent it back saying he had had a fantastic time there. I'm sure they were delighted for him on Saturday. I wasn't on but the three lads were very modest in victory and it was a great day for the sport.
