importing a day van

    I am importing a day van (merc vito). I dont have a company.... how will i get it in?. Can i get private motor insurance on it? what are vitos like? seems clean enough no service history but will have a MOT done on it,

    no service history would have me looking for something else, especially something like a van that will be covering big mileage usually. Prime candidate for clocking, as most would be fleet owned and should have no real reason for not having a history.

    Can't really help on rest but I'd imagine bringing it in and insuring it would be fine. I think VRT is only 50 euro but could be wrong

    An MOT and a €1 will get you a can of coke.
    Make sure it's not ex-rental as it will have been driven everyday by a new inexperienced driver.

    At least the papers could confirm long term ownership. That would atleast be a start but I would still be cautious if there is no service history.
