Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

At least there are no ABU's on this thread and none of those petty conspiracy theory's about something favoring united . . :D

Can we get a Soccer Conspiracy Theory sub forum?

It's well known Allardyce and Ferguson are good friends, and now Allardyce has rested a couple of his best players against United for no particular reason?

Of course pointing this out makes you a dirty ABU. Everyone is against United and all that.

I'm not the only one to comment on big sam fielding weakened team against his mate. Although Sky's silence on the matter is quite hilarious.

    Whats your point exactly ?

Are you aware United have 6 changes from the team that played Bayern on wednesday night ?

It's also well known that Bolton had a great record against Utd when Allardyce was in charge of them. Where were the conspiracy theorists back then? Load of nonsense.

And Blackburn could still go on and win this game, doesn't mean Allardyce hasn't made it a little easier for United with his team selection today.

Also given the stage of the season that we're at, and the current position both clubs are in, it's easy to see why Allardyce wouldn't really care about this game.

Giggs and Scholes in the centre is a horrible combination but then I don't have much faith in any combination that does not include Fletcher

It almost looks like Berbatov is trying to fill the Fletch role ;)

Berba needs to stay around the box FFS

He was just retrieving the ball from our own box a few mins ago, what the hell?

    Blackburn team that played Chelsea

    32 Brown
    04 Samba
    27 Salgado
    28 Jones
    08 Dunn (Emerton 56)
    12 Pedersen
    15 Nzonzi (Hoilett 90+3)
    17 Andrews
    18 Diouf
    22 Kalinic (Roberts 63)

    Substitutes
    38 Bunn, 2 Jacobsen, 39 Chimbonda, 7 Emerton, 14 Linganzi, 9 Roberts, 23 Hoilett

Not too much difference, plus young Jones has earned the right to keep his place.

Except today they've even decided to play with 11 men so if anything they're taking this game more seriously!

But you dont get it, Big sam has had the blackburn team on a diet of fish and chips for the last week, played 3 friendlies last night and there is a team bonus that gets bigger the more they lose . .

Never let the truth get in the way of a good conspiracy . .

Should have been a penalty there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,306 ✭✭✭✭Drumpot

    Seen peno's given for that . .

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,709 ✭✭✭CR 7

In a way, I'm glad that penalty wasn't given. Imagine the reaction if there was. Not to mind the countless threads that would result.

I mean, it's fair enough to tell your players to not make an effort, and pass straight out of play at every opportunity, but to send on a sub with the sole purpose of giving away a penalty is just ridiculous.

Berba's playing total football every time he gives the ball he takes up the others position
