Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The mother's car (07 1.4 petrol Meriva) is fairly low on oil. There's 5W30 in it at the moment, would it be ok to top up with 10W40?

simple answer is no, not if you want the car to remain healthy, it'll drive but eventually do damage

If it's very low,i'd put some in.It's better to have wrong oil than no oil.
Although I would advise you to change the oil at your earliest convenience and use the reccomended oil then.

If it was me I wouldn't drive it until oil was put in it, either the correct oil or the 10w40 as a temporary measure until you get an oil change. It should be fine for a couple of months with the 10w40 provided it doesn't need further top ups.
