Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A spirited performance from Pompey but Spurs will be far too good. 3-1 Spurs

Will this be decided today or will a draw result in a replay?

    Go wan Pompy!

Dawson lost his footing which stopped him putting in a tackle, you could see the turf go from under him. Ouch.

    Get in there!!

that was never a fowl on James, poor decision!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

Spurs unlucky - nothing wrong with that goal imo, James flapped it badly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

First the pitch and now the ref going against Spurs. That was never a foul.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,543 ✭✭✭JerryHandbag

The magic of the cup.....Spurs piling on the pressure now tho

Might be hoping the strikers will be afraid to be seen running to it too eagerly!!;)

Very generous decision there for Pompey,

For some strange reason though keepers always get way too much protection in situations like that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

James' reaction said it all, tbh. Never a foul!!

Agreed. You're hardly allowed to challenge for the same ariel ball as a keeper these days.

James laughing his arse off at the decision! :D

Delighted for Pompey... but think Spurs will be the only one of the 2 taht can beat Chelsea.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

    That should've been game over

    Peno to seal it.

Spurs fairly done over today by teh ref ad their own poxy lack of aility to put chances away.

The more I look at this match the more I think it's a fix to give Pompey much needed income.

What a brilliant run by Dindane. Palacios unlucky. He gets the ball, but gets the player first?

    definate pen imo.

He touched the ball, but the only way he was able to do so was by dragging the player back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,054 ✭✭✭✭Professey Chin

    Go on Pompey! :D

Thats cheered me up ni end. Well done Pompy.

Fairly poor show from Spurs players on the peno. 3 mins left in extra time and the only players followign up the peno were Pompey ones.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,490 ✭✭✭Ordinary man

I can't help but admire Pompey. A team ripped apart and still having the spirit to get results like this. Avram Grant must be the most underrated manger around

Pompey peno a cert - Palacios got a toe on the ball, but only after shoving Dindane - the foul came before the touch on the ball.

Have to say as a neutral i am deligthed for Portsmouth fans and Avram Grant,

Nobody is going to give them a chance, so there is nothing to lose,

The fans and players get a nice end of season send off (if they get to play) and Grant gets to pit himself against Chelsea,

You have to love the magic of the FA Cup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,109 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Would have been great if Pompy were allowed play in europe next season while in the championship.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,543 ✭✭✭JerryHandbag

Delighted for Avram Grant and Pompey. They'll get their day in the sun after a turbulent season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

    Delighted!! :D What a story!!

Imagine being told in January 2008 that Pompey would be in two of the next three FA Cup finals?!!!!

I just wonder if the shock is on for the final. You never know. I can't see it but the story is there. The season that they've had. That the supporters have had. The staff being let go. Avram Grant against Chelsea!!!

I just wonder if the magic of the cup can whip up the greatest fairytale of all!

Delighted for Portsmouth, Redknapp looks sickened.:D

Grant gets to pit himself against Chelsea,

that's the bit i want to see!! i'd love to see Grant get one over on Chelsea after he brought them to the Champions league final and then got booted out for big Phil Scolari.

Yeah I'm gutted to see Spurs go out but I like Grant and I'm happy for him.
