Cancel purchase on xbox live arcade

Is there anyway to cancel a purchase on xbox live arcade? I bought a game instead of downloading the trial by accident when I realised what happened I cancelled the download immediately if it makes any difference so it hasnt been downloaded to the xbox yet if that makes any difference.

I don't think it will make a difference. Once the percentage bar comes up after pressing buy, the transaction is done. Sorry

Yup, once you hit purchase, that's that - the game is bought and tied to your account and your points are gone.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news but yes you bought it, in fairness to m$ though it does show a screen with the cost and ask for a confirmation before hand

Thanks for the quick responses, the game is age of booty so probably not a good one although I might as well try it now.

In relation to the confirmation of purchase I downloaded about 5 or 6 trials just before I accidentally downloaded this game and the screen is pretty much exactly the same for trials and downloads except for where it says how many points it costs. While i should have been more alert when pressing the confirm button, MS should really have a different button on the controller for confirming a purchase and for downloading trial or else require you to enter a short passcode.
