google earth alternative

Hi all, is there an alternative to google earth that covers different areas. Google earth has satelitte images that come to within about 100 meters of my house then nothing. Is there some other site that would have the area photographed or do they all work off the one database set of photos? Regards, D

Also try the Bing maps. If they're available in your area, the bird's eye photos are incredible.
