Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Valencia .v. Bilbao is the one to watch there I reckon. Valencia need a win to keep a gap with Sevilla and Mallorca. Bilbao need one to keep their Champions League dream alive. Promises to be a cracker.

Suicidal header from Dragutinovic back to Palop.

Valladolid look far sharper thus far.

3 massive points for Valladolid. They are back within sight of safety again.

Sevilla on the other hand........... Manzano has his work cut out there next season if he takes the job as expected.

I would love it if Mallorca snatch the last Champions league spot from them.

Just when the bottom three was looking like a done deal, unexpected wins for Tenerife and Valladolid - hay liga! As a Valencia fan glad to see Sevilla losing, we are a bit vulnerable at the moment and need to conserve that cushion to keep 3rd place.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,536 Mod ✭✭✭✭Amirani

Huge result for Valladolid alright. 4th Champions League spot going to be an interesting battle now in the run in.

    ^ Pique starts, not Milito

Depor appear to be playing an 8 man defense.

Shame Pedro did not finish that chance like he should have done. Would have changed the entire complexion of the game.

Another sexy assist from Xavi for Bojan to finish.

    1-0

Is it pissing anyone off just how much the commentators cream themselves over Barca? It's a kind of smugness like 'oh look we are experts and know everything about Barca' when it's plain to see to everyone.

the secondary commentator claiming he 'knew' Alves would try the overhead kick (which was a great attempt btw)

It's bugging me a lot more than it should...

Well more than other team Barca do deserve to be "creamed" over but yes it's a bit cringey.

    77% possession

Messi was a greedy git and should have passed instead of going it alone

    Could have been 2-0 up

I knew they would score after I posted, what a goal.

I went on PP to see what Pedro was to be next scorer as he was looking very lively but he wasn't listed. :(

Very straight forward Barca win. Dare I say quite boring? Glad to see 3 different scorers, and that none of them were Messi. Shows that he is not the only outlet for goals.

Yes, but I find Gerry Armstrong is the worst for it. There does seem to be a certain amount of drinking the kool aid associated with Barca at present.

It is quite annoying alright. It makes Andy Grays cheerleading for CL games sound almost impartial.

And Jerez win at the Calderon meaning the bottom 3 all win, we might have a relegation dogfight yet!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

^ Indeed, Xerez are now only 5 points from safety! If they were to survive it would probably be the greatest of great escapes. The last few days have opened up the relegation fight something massive. Last week the bottom three looked dead and buried.

Atleti on the other hand - they are an enigma.

What is it with the likes of Sevilla, Atletico and Valencia (with the exception of Villa) this season? Atletico in particular are a complete joke. They inflict Barcelona's only defeat of the entire season with a really gutsy performance. A few weeks later they are destroyed by the worst team in the league.
