"Burn" mark on paintwork

    Was like this when I purchased the car. It has no depth or feeling at all, its like a discolouration under the lacquer:

    Detailer.ie will be looking at the car next week anyhow, but anyone any theories on what the mark is or was caused by?

    Don't have a clue about the mark Matt. Looks a bit too well defined to be a fluid mark though.

    You thinking respray or clean up OR wait for feedback from those in the know?

    The O/h Qashqui has a similar mark on the back, seemed to disappear with some polish. I did ask a refinish specialist about ti and he reckoned the polish should do the job. Must look at car later and see if it is gone.
