    Some great ones mentioned. Tv on the radio, Sigur Ros and Lcd Soundsystem all popular and deservedly so.

    Couple of very obvious ones that are not really "cool to like" would be Is This It by the Strokes, Aha Shake heartbreak by Kings of Leon and White Blood Cells by the White Stripes. Excellent traditional rock n roll.

    Dongs Of Sevotion by Smog, Hissing Fauna are you the destroyer? by of Montreal and the really excellent You Forgot it in People by Broken Social Scene.

    Ah this is too hard over ten years. All the above in this thread is mostly very good imo. Have fun

    While I know I was asked for 5 and tripled the amount I gave myself - I find it hard to name only 5 great albums from a decade which has seen some truly brilliant albums produced - hence my disregard
