Just wondering if anyone has tried the budget tool from the NCA. I tried it and hopefully it will save me some money - www.economiser.ie

    Hi,

I used it the other night. Pretty impressed with it. Just have to actually go and do the tips that they gave me. You have to get all your bills etc in order first to get the best out of it.

    Regards,

    SJ.

Yeah, it's actually very good. But as the previous poster said - you need to have your bills handy to really get benefit out of it.

Blitzed the bills last night and tried this:

Very nifty, and quickly pointed out that I am spending way over the odds in all areas except TV - strange, I thought I was getting fleeced here! But turns out I'm literally burning through the gas heating so will have to check that out. It says to get the boiler serviced, but I always thought that was just an upselling gimmick but colleague said they had it done and it runs so much better.
The advice seems good, I just need to actually follow it! Anyone done what it suggested and saved money?
